American reality TV stars, Dorit Kemsley and Paul Kemsley had divorced in May 2024. People and fans believed that the reason was a simple one namely Paul’s alcohol addiction. But now, Dorit has opened up on the reasons of her divorce from Paul.

Dorit Kemsley reveals the reasons of her divorce from Paul Kemsley

It was a sad end to the married life of the couple, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Dorit Kemsley and her English businessman husband, Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley. They announced their separation in May 2024 by means of a joint statement.

Fans and viewers believed that the cause of their split was the chronic alcoholism of Paul. However, this was not the only reason. It was just the ‘last straw on the camel’s back’.

In a recent interview given to Decider, Dorit revealed that Paul had tried to go sober and had put in efforts that she acknowledges. But there were other graver things that led them to separate. Dorit explained:

“After that, a lot of the issues that we had been dealing with in the last few years, they reared their ugly head,”

The next season of RHOBH

Dorit went on to state that once Paul became sober, there were other deeper things that started raising their heads and ultimately led to their divorce.

However, she did not reveal what these other things were that made them grow apart from each other. The next season of RHOBH would start soon. And probably viewers would get an idea of these problems after seeing it.

In the interview, Dorit did warn people that the next season would be uglier to watch. She added that she had wanted the separation to end smoothly. But it did not end the way she had anticipated it to end. She said:

“But as far as him and I go, I think that as you’ll see this season, as much as I would love for things to be amicable all the time, it just didn’t happen. There are definitely some peaks and some valleys, and you see it in the season and when you’re not the one that’s making those decisions, it’s always a lot more difficult. So, there are some struggles. But then you really do see a lot of the journey, which I think is interesting.”

Is the couple fooling the audience?

There are accusations flying against the couple, Dorit and PK that they are faking Paul’s alcoholism and their divorce. The former RHOA producer, Carlos King told his podcast listeners:

“I’m being told that allegedly, Dorit and PK [are] fooling the audience with this divorce storyline based on his alcoholism, which is why Dorit is telling everybody, including the post office guy, the milkman, and her gardener that PK has a drinking problem,”

He added:

“And it’s because they need this money and they are so in dire need of funds, allegedly, that Dorit has nothing to lose.”
“She has to make sure she is the marquee name of the show so that they can get money,”
