Gone are the days when divorce used to be given and declared face-to-face. Nowadays, people give divorce to their spouse on phones and internet. It is by a voice call or just a text message or via their social media accounts. Dubai Princess, Shaikha Mahra Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, daughter of the current Dubai ruler chose the last method to divorce her husband, Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum.

It was a public and quick way to divorce for Shaikha Mahra Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of the current ruler of Dubai. She chose Instagram to divorce her husband, Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum. She declared her divorce to her husband via an Instagram post. The beautiful Princess wrote:

“Dear Husband,”
“As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife.”

Shaikha, 30 has 490k followers on her Instagram who also came to know about her separation from her husband through her online post.

Reaction of Shaikha’s fans

Followers of Shaikha were shocked to learn about her divorce and the method she used to declare it. It sent the social media world into a frenzy. Her fans also found out that Shaikha and her husband, Sheikh Mana had unfollowed each other on the social media. They had also erased all photos and posts about the other from their respective social media.

Some of the followers also stated that the couple has blocked each other from their social media accounts. There were some unbelievers who wondered whether the social media accounts of Shaikha had been hacked and the hacker was posting about the divorce on it.

About the couple

The couple, Shaikha and Sheikh Mana did not have a prolonged married life. It was just last year in May that the two had exchanged wedding vows. And their daughter was born in May 2024. At that time, the proud mother had uploaded photos and thanked the hospital staff and doctors who cared for her during her delivery. In the photos, her husband was seen cradling the little baby. She had called the experience as the most memorable one.

But weeks later, things had probably turned sour because Shaikha had put up a cryptic post on her Instagram. The picture showed her with her baby in her arms. And on top of the picture was written:

“Just the two of us.”

This could be a clue to her troubled married life at that time. Shaikha’s dad is the ruler of Dubai. He is the Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE. Shaikha herself has a degree in international relations from a British University. Additionally, she also had done her college studies from the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Administration.
