Who is Eyedress?

Eyedress better known by his full name Idris Vicuna is a Filipino Singer-Songwriter, Record Producer, and Rapper. He started playing guitar at age 11.

Vicuna is best known for his lo-fi and psychedelic music, combining elements of dream pop, hip-hop, and R&B.  His nationality is Philippine.

Eyedress started playing guitar at age 11 and began producing music at age 14. He was a member of the Filipino punk band The Dorques and also played bass in the band’s live shows.

In 2010, Vicuna released his debut album, Supernatural, under the name Eyedress. The album was released independently on Bandcamp and received positive reviews from critics.

In 2012, he released his second album, Shapeshifter. The album featured production from artists such as Flying Lotus and Shlohmo and received critical acclaim.

The SInger-Songwriter’s third album, Manila Ice, was released in 2014 and featured production from prominent electronic musicians such as Baths and Shlohmo.

In 2016, Vicuna released his fourth album, Sensitive G, which featured production from the likes of Flying Lotus and Toro y Moi.

The Singer has collaborated with several artists, including Mac Demarco, Toro y Moi, and Shlohmo.

He has also released several EPs, including Softie (2017), Let’s Skip to the Wedding (2018), and Heaven’s Only Wishful (2020). Vicuna has become a major figure in the Filipino indie music scene and continues to push boundaries with his unique sound and production style.
