Filipino actor and singer, Paolo Contis, 40 who began his career as a child artist in the 1990s is a family man and a concerned and dutiful father. His first marriage was to former member of EB Babes, Lian Paz in 2009. The couple has two children together: daughters Xonia Aitana and Xalene Abriana .

However, this marriage did not last but they separated in 2012. Years later, in 2021, Paolo had filed for annulment of this marriage. However, on second thoughts, he withdrew the application in March 2024.

In the meantime, Paolo had relationships with several women one by one. He started dating LJ Reyes in 2016. Their daughter Summer Ayana arrived in 2019. However, the two separated in 2021.

Paolo Contis’ fear for his daughters

On the recent 4th January 2024 episode of the podcast, Your Honor, Paolo spoke to hosts Tuesday Vargas and Buboy Villar about his personal life.

He expressed that he has fears about whom his daughters would date later in their respective lives. He does not want them to date someone like him. He is ready for their relationship but not with someone who has qualities like him. He said:

“It’s gonna happen anyway. Wala ka magagawa (You can’t do anything about it),”

Paolo had problems in his past relationships. When asked what he would do if his daughters had similar boyfriends, he explained:

“‘Yun ang number one na ikinakatakot ko (That’s my number one fear),”
“ (Translated) I will slap him right away. Ever since, the goal is to possess the qualities of the ideal guy you want your daughters to date. Sadly, you make mistakes. Now, if they end up dating the Paolo about 10 to 15 years ago, oh my God. I will hit them right away.”

Paolo admitted that he is changing with age and is getting better then before. He elaborated:

“I know my mistakes and I’ve been correcting them. I’m 40 now and it’s a must,”

He feels that exes may not be friends but should be civil and respect each other:

“For me, I don’t believe that exes should be friends. Unless you actually have reasons to be.”

Further, Paolo added:

“You already broke up. It’s respect for your partner. It’s awkward. Now that you’re not fighting anymore, it’s already okay? You can be civil and ask, ‘Hey! How are you?’ when you meet. But friends? You already had your time to know each other better. Why are you doing it again?”

The comedian was in news in January 2023 when he revealed that he gives no child support to his daughters. He added that he is keeping that money aside to hand it to them in the future.
