Georgina McKee is an English actress best known for playing the role of Mary Cox in the British television drama serial Our Friends in the North. She also received the 1997 BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress for her performance. Similarly, she also appeared in The Lost Prince (2003), The Street (2007), Phantom Thread, and The Blackwater Lightship.

She received three Best Actress awards in 1997: the British Academy Television Award, the Royal Television Society Award and the Broadcasting Press Guild Award for her performance.

Moreover, she also appeared as reporter Libby Shuss in several episodes of the Chris Morris spoof current affairs show, Brass Eye (1997, 2001). Similarly, she has also worked in several theatre shows including Harold Pinter’s The Lover and The Collection at the Comedy Theatre in London.

In 2008, she was featured in the BBC drama Fiona’s Story and a West End revival of Chekhov’s Ivanov. She was also nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress for playing the role of Goneril in the Donmar Warehouse revival of King Lear, directed by Michael Grandage and starring Derek Jacobi.
