Grimes calls Lizzo a ”Good Person” amid controversy
Internet users are slamming Grimes for showing her support for Lizzo amid her sexual harassment case.
The Canadian singer tweeted her support for Lizzo just days after the latter received accusations of sexually harassing her backup dancers in a lawsuit filed by three of them.
The 35-year-old posted on Sunday,
“I love Lizzo. Not saying I don’t believe ppl when bad things happen, but I had dancers mistreated on my watch in ways I didn’t find out about until way later. Mebe [sic] s—t is bad,”
“But loyalty matters to me,”
The Go singer continued,
“Lizzo was kind to me and others for a decade before she was ‘cool,’ and she checked in [on] me when no one cared.”
“I’ve only ever seen exemplary behavior from her, especially when everyone was hating on me and she was on top of the world. There was no reason for her to check in, besides to be a good person. Just my two cents.”
The songstress who dated Elon Musk in the past supported her thoughts with another tweet reading,
“Lizzo was nice to me before elon when she blew up and I was still indie as f—k,”
“She was nice to me in like 2012 before anyone cared abt [sic] either of us. She checked in while I was cancelled a f while I was pregnant when most people abandoned me because they didn’t want the association, she was kind when was only a liability to her. I respect that hardcore. That’s a good person.”
But the mother of Musk’s two children received a barrage of criticisms for her tweets.
One user commented,
“Grimes it’s because you’re rich and wealthy and have influence, Lizzo is a classist abuser who doesn’t believe people ‘on her level’ deserve respect,”
Another wrote,
“lol grimes you’re so over. just because your experience with someone was great (probably due to your relations and fame) it doesn’t mean people didn’t have bad experiences with lizzo. a grimes think piece isn’t gonna sway me away from countless victims who have said otherwise,”
A third user posted,
“Nah she’s toxic,”

How did Lizzo react to the sexual harassment allegations?
Just last week three of the Good as Hell singer’s former dancers Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez hit her with the bombshell lawsuit.
They stated in the court that they were victims of weight-shaming, sexually denigrating behavior, and pressure to participate in disturbing sex shows.
The Grammy winner, for her part, denied the accusations by sharing a statement on social media.
Lizzo posted on Thursday,
“My work ethic, morals and respectfulness have been questioned. My character has been criticized. Usually I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed,”
“I am very open with my sexuality and expressing myself but I cannot accept or allow people to use that openness to make me out to be something I am not,”
There is nothing I take more seriously than the respect we deserve as women in the world.”
The singer added that she understands how it feels like “to be body shamed on a daily basis and would absolutely never criticize or terminate an employee because of their weight.”
