Haley Pullos is being sued for allegedly driving on the wrong side of the freeway
Haley Pullos was arrested in April after being involved in a major car crash.
California Highway Patrol confirmed to PEOPLE, the incident took place on April 29 when the actress, 24, allegedly drove her white 2019 Ford at about 60 mph. As a result, her car went in the wrong way on a Pasadena freeway and collided with another car.
According to the reports, the driver of the other car was seriously injured following the accident and was taken to a hospital.
Police reports obtained by the outlet indicated “Upon a felony conviction for the above offense, prison custody time is to be served in state prison”.
Prior to the collision, she was also involved in a hit-and-run incident. Besides, officers claim they found edibles and mini-bottles of tequila during a search of the vehicle.
It showed clear signs of intoxication and as proof, her medical reports show 0.15 percent and more blood alcohol concentration on that day.
Similarly, the L.A. County D.A. issued a statement at the time stating,
“Drunk driving remains a grave concern in our communities, claiming thousands of innocent lives each year. Charging Haley Pullos with a felony DUI causing injury underscores the severity of this alleged offense. As we approach the Fourth of July holiday weekend, we must recognize the heightened danger of drinking and driving during this time. Let us remain vigilant and make responsible choices to ensure a safe and joyful celebration, free from the devastating consequences of impaired driving.”
What charges did Haley Pullos face following a near-fatal car crash?
The Los Angeles Country D.A. confirmed the actress has been charged with two DUI felony counts with one felony count of DUI causing injury and one felony count of driving with a .08BAC or higher.
In addition, he was charged with one misdemeanor count of hit-and-run driving resulting in property damage.
However, the actress has pleaded not guilty, and a preliminary hearing is set for July 27. Following last week’s trial, she spoke to Soap Opera Digest admitting,
“Unfortunately, I was involved in an automobile accident and I’m doing OK, but I am going to need a little time to recover, I will be back as soon as possible!”
Pullos also went on to acknowledge that she is taking a break from the long-running series, General Hospital where she has been playing Molly Lansing-Davis since 2009, to recover from a car accident.
