Kate Chastain is now officially a mom

Kate Chastain, who announced her pregnancy in December 2022, gave birth to her first child a baby boy. The Below Deck, 40, took to Instagram on Friday, May 5, to share the exciting news that her bundle of joy has arrived.

She shared a sweet photo of herself embracing her little one while revealing his name, “Hard Launch: Sullivan Cay.”

As soon as she announced the arrival of her child many were quick to flood the comment section with congratulatory messages.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Garcelle Beauvais expressed her excitement while writing,

“Awww congratulations,”

Well, the baby arrived five months after Chastain announced her pregnancy in December 2022.

Kate Chastain is a single mother

Kate hasn’t yet made the father of her child public. In January 2023, she opened up about her choice to be a single mom to her child during her appearance in an episode of Page Six’s Virtual Real-Tea podcast.

She said,

“I’m fiercely independent. I don’t really love people’s opinions being different than mine, and trying to make me go their way. So I really am so excited that I’ll be able to do this exactly how I want to.”

Similarly, the new mother stated earlier that she intended to raise her child by herself while appearing on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

“I’m doing it solo and perhaps with some help, but I’m happy to do it alone. I think being a chief stew really trained me for it.”
