“I’m an old stage school kid. Not many people know that.

“That [dancing] is my background, but I’ve got it all in the locker ready to show everyone.”

“I can actually still do the splits. I’m 47 and I can still do the splits.
“I can dance. I used to be in the dance group.”

Lucy’s inspiration to revive her dancing

Lucy gave the credit for the revival of her dancing to her good friend Ruth Langford. She said that when she saw her friend Ruth dance on the show last year, Lucy too was inspired to restart her dancing and hone her skills in it.

She anticipates taking part in the show in the future. Her friend’s dancing on the show has led to a desire for her to take part herself.

She said:

“I would go every week and watch her on it. And I would literally sit there thinking, ‘This is what I want to do, I would love to do this’.

The mother-of-two added:

“It really really did show me a show that I know I would just love to do.”
