The early start and foundation of her career
Ava had always loved to act and dance. She was just two years of age when she commenced her dancing at a studio near her house in Michigan. Her mother, Jeanette Cota is a former model and owns the Broadway Dance Academy Studio at Fenton, Michigan.
Ava Cota at the age of three years shifted to her mom’s studio and began her training in dance there. She learned ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and freestyle dancing styles.
In 2015, Ava underwent more rigorous training and put in more than 30 hours per week for it. She used to get the training at Broadway Dance Academy as well as has a personal trainer who would teach her ballet at home. The foundations of her dancing are thus strongly and soundly laid down.
She participated in several dance competitions and also won many of them. In 2014, she was named the Miss Pre-Teen Galaxy International. She also has sound knowledge and training in athletics.
She has done aerobics, swimming, and gymnastics. She continues with these activities as and when she gets some spare time out of her other activities.
She had also performed superbly at 2014 Move the World Charity event held at Houston, Texas and also at the ‘Cabaret for a cause’. She is part of the Mob Squad which is a group of hip-hop dancers.
She was criticized and cyber-bullied for her height and thinness. But she did not let these negative remarks affect her and continued unperturbed with her career.
The rise to fame
With such a solid base, Ava was set to conquer the world with her great talents and skills. She got to showcase them at various events and occasions. Her main recognition came when she was a contestant on the Dance Moms TV show.
She made her appearance in the third season of the show in an episode called ‘The beginning of the end’. She also made her appearances in the fourth, fifth, and sixth seasons.
She, however, could not continue since her height was more than most of the other contestants on the show. She then competed as part of the BDA and the Candy Apple’s Dance Center.
She also was featured in several commercials and modeled for brands such as Sacs, Ford Motors, Sally Miller Fashion, Patrick J Designs, and many others. She also walked the ramp in 2016 at the LA Fashion Week.
The same year she also anchored the 2016 Miss Pre-Teen Galaxy event. She also participated in 2016 So You Think You Can Dance show.
She has given a natural makeup tutorial in August 2015. In 2012, she also sang the national anthem at a football event.

Ava was born on 10 April 2002 in Michigan, the USA. Her father Rick Cota had expired when Ava was very young.
Her mother Jeanette who owns the BDA has personally looked into the career development of her daughter and has raised her children single-handedly.
Jeanette is a former model and dancer. Ava also has a brother called Devon Cota.
