Doherty starts his career collaborating with Carl Barat. They formed a band called The Libertines in the late ’90s. It was formed but in the 90s but they release their first debut album in 2002. The album was named ‘Up the Bracket’ and it was able to achieve mainstream success.

Their band was one of the praised by fans. it receives various critics alike as one of the most promising bands to emerge on the British music scene for years. Doherty is engaged in different drug problems. The band has also once claimed that Doherty’s continuing drug addiction was the reason for his dismissal of their band in 2004. He was also jailed for burgling Barat’s flat in 2003.

Doherty was working with the band and they were preparing for the second Libertines album in June 2004. Meantime he was asked to leave the band.

Pete Doherty founded the album Babyshambles which was their last album and the end of his time with The Libertines. The band released studio albums, ‘Down in Albion’, in November 2005. They also release another album ‘Shotters Nation’ in October 2007.

They receive good commercial support. As well as albums they also released ‘The Blinding EP’ on 9 December 2006. He has also played in the movie acting opposite Charlotte Gainsbourg in Confession of a Child of the Century. 

The actor has outstanding works but he hasn’t received any of the awards.
