Career on a Television show called Survivor

In 2007, Russell Hantz applied for a reality program called Pirate Master, but he was unsuccessful. However, after two years, casting summoned him to compete as a participant in Survivor: Samoa in the 19th season of the television show Survivor. Hantz accepted to go on the show and was allocated to the tribe of the Foa Foa. He went through many ups and downs on this show. He was able to earn the Sprint Player of the Season title as well as a $ 1 million cash reward.

Russell Hantz was also asked to compete in the next season, Survivor: Heroes Vs Villains, as a replacement for Shane Powers. During this season, he was assigned to the Villians tribe and formed a rivalry with the team’s leader,  Rob Mariano.  This season, he was again chastised by the jury for his betrayals. Despite losing the title of Sole Survivor to Sandra Diaz-Twine, he was awarded the title Sprint Player of the Season as well as $1 million.
