Sofia Richie has announced her first pregnancy with her husband Elliot Grainge
‘Pregnancy alert‘! Sofia Richie is pregnant, expecting her first child with her husband Elliot Grainge.
During an interview with Vogue, the 25-year-old model confirmed her pregnancy that she is about six months along on Thursday, January 25.
She gushed about her pregnancy experience to the magazine, revealing,
“Pregnancy is really scary, I didn’t realize there are so many milestones you have to hit and so many tests you have to take. For me, it was really important to protect our mental health and our space as a couple.”

Richie also disclosed the sex of their unborn baby while chatting with Vogue that she and Elliot are having a baby girl.
The soon-to-be mom shared her excitement about learning the gender of her unborn infant.
“I love the YouTubes and the TikToks—even before I was talking about getting pregnant—of gender reveals, so we had our OB text my assistant Becca [our baby’s gender], and we bought two party poppers: one blue, one pink.”
She then recalled,
“She left out the one with the correct color inside, and Elliot and I popped it together. We both really thought it was a boy, so it was a true shock. My dream in life is to have a daughter [though], and Elliot is really excited for a girl too.”
“I think it’s so typical for boys to want boys, but he has a lot of sisters. It was really sweet. He’s very sensitive,”
Congratulations to Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge as they had been “casually trying” for a baby after their April wedding.

When did Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge find out about pregnancy?
Sofia told Vogue that she was four weeks pregnant when she found out about her pregnancy.
She earlier thought it was “jet lag” as she had a hectic day after on a trip to Milan for fashion week and also returned to LA to attend the Parda shows.
But she didn’t take a risk and decided to take a test after returning home as she was late on her period as well. She recalled,
“Elliot was already used to me taking tests randomly, So he didn’t really flinch when I said I was checking. I was taking one of those really crappy at-home tests, and there was the faintest of lines. I was so used to seeing negatives that I knew when something looked even kind of different.”
Richie doubted the test’s result and later took three more tests, all of which came back positive. She revealed they had tears of happiness after they found out about their pregnancy.
She expressed,
“It was crazy and overwhelming and so hard not to scream it from the rooftops. But knowing I was so early, I was so protective—even with my friends.”
Similarly, the actress revealed they didn’t share the pregnancy news with their parents and grandparents until the eight-week mark.
She recalled they shared the news to their family members with gifts from Milan Fashion Week.
“Everyone was like ‘Ooooh, Hermes! But then they opened it, and it had all three of the pregnancy tests [in it]. That’s how we told all of our parents. Watching their reaction go from like, ‘I’m about to get an expensive present’ to like ‘I’m about to get a grandchild’ was really sweet.”
