At first, Solomon Haumono chooses his career in the rugby league where his preferred position was second-row. In his rugby career, he played in the NRL for numerous clubs such as Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (1994-1996), Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs (1997-1998), Balmain Tigers (1999), and more.

He played at the representative level for the New South Wales team (2003), Tonga (1995-2006), Australia (1997), and more. However, he quit rugby league permanently after the terminated contract with London Broncos in December 2003.

Boxing Career

Solomon Haumono started his boxing career in 2000 after he took a spell from the rugby league. On July 3, 2000, he made his professional debut against Ken Fuller where he defeated him by knockout in Entertainment center, Sydney, Australia.

Between the years 2000 to 2002, he played eight matches where he won all eight pro fights by way of knockout. But later he returned to rugby league for another three years and also during that time he rejected the deal with US boxing promoter Don King.

In March 2007, Solomon Haumono resume his boxing career, throughout his boxing career he played a total of 30 fights. Out of 30 fights, he won 24 matches, 21 won by knockout, drawn two matches, and 4 lost.
