Henry Simmons and his personal life

American actor, Henry Simmons is a highly talented actor who has African ethnicity. He was featured in the ABC superhero drama series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. This show ran from 2014 to 2020. Earlier, Henry was cast as Baldwin Jones in another police drama series on ABC called NYPD Blue. This show aired for five years from 2000 to 2005.

Henry keeps his private life under wraps. He prefers to not discuss much about it in the public domain. But we do know that Henry is a married man. His wife is television actress, Sophina Brown who was Henry’s co-star on the show Shark. But they knew each other even before that. On the show, their friendship became stronger but they were not dating until after the show shooting was completed. Henry has revealed in an interview:

“We knew each other, but on Shark we weren’t dating. That happened just about when the show ended. I kept comparing everyone to her.”

After a smooth courtship period, Henry proposed to Sophina and she said yes. Later, the two walked down the aisle together in May 2010. Henry’s early life and education

Henry was born on 1 July 1970 in Stamford, Connecticut, USA. His mother is Aurelia, a school teacher while his father, Henry Simmons Sr. worked as an IRS revenue officer. He was born as twins and has a twin sister. The two also have another sister.

Henry attended Franklin Pierce University and completed his degree in business from there. He studied at this esteemed University on a basketball scholarship. During his time at the said University, Henry also tried his hands at theater acting. He found it interesting. However, after his graduation, Henry took up a job at Stamford with a Fortune 500 company. But the job failed to interest him. He left it and relocated to New York City and pursued an acting course.

Henry got a few guest roles before bagging a recurring role on the TV soap opera Another World. Soon good roles came his way and his popularity rose.
