Great Holiday! Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and her husband and kids fly to St. Ives, Cornwall for her 46th birthday getaway!
- It is summertime and 6 August was also the 46th birthday of the Spice Girl Geri Halliwell
- She decided to make the most of the occasion and escaped to St. Ives in Cornwall to celebrate her birthday in style
Geri Halliwell’s birthday and the staycation
Geri Halliwell was out of town along with her husband Christian Horner and kids. Her husband is the team principal of the Red Bull Racing Formula One team.
The children who accompanied the couple were her step-daughter Olivia who is Christian’s daughter from a previous relationship, daughter Bluebell Madonna who is Geri’s daughter with screenwriter Sacha Gervasi, and son Montague George (or Monty for short) who is child of Christian and Geri.
The town of St. Ives has beautiful beaches and a nice coastline. The weather was also amazing this time of the year. The town boasts surf beaches, natural beautiful scenery, and an art scene. It has one of the four Tate galleries.
The coastline goes all the way to the Land’s End and there is a Carbis Bay nearby. It is a Blue Flag award-winning beach. There were not one but two birthday cakes for the occasion.
Geri’s special social media posts
Geri posted a number of pictures on her Instagram of the family’s birthday getaway. There was one photo in which the couple was seen standing at the edge of the sea in the shallow water holding little Monty in between.
She captioned this picture:
“Best time at the beach today, love the English seaside,”
There was another picture of the full family with a table drawn in front of them on which were two birthday cakes and other foodstuffs and drinks for them. Similarly, they looked relaxed and comfortable at that location.
Geri did not forget to thank her fans, friends, and family who remembered her birthday and wished her on the day! She wrote on her social media:
“Thank you all for my lovely birthday messages. Had a great day with the family!”
The accompanying picture was of the singer standing on the balcony of the holiday accommodation that they had booked and on the backdrop was a beautiful sea view.
Christian also posted on his Instagram:
“Happy Birthday to my beautiful, kind, and amazing wife. Have an amazing day.”
The other celebrities who were on a break In Cornwall are Amanda Holden who is in Port Isaac, North Cornwall with her family following the demise of her grandmother Ethel.
Kate Garraway was also away earlier this summer and she also engaged herself in activities such as bodyboarding and also cycling along the trail called Camel Trail.
This is an 18-mile long trail that is present in the Cornish countryside and it moves along an unused railway line between Wenfordbridge, Bodmin, Wadebridge, and Padstow.

Geri also obliged some of her fans with pictures. Jon Horan was one such fan who was thrilled about meeting Geri. He and his wife clicked a picture with Geri and uploaded it onto his social media.
He wrote:
“Me and the wife did the coastal walk today from St. Ives to Zennor and we didn’t expect to bump into one of the spice girls in the Tinners Arms.”
Further, there was also a picture of the family trying to get into a helicopter.
About Geri and Christian relationship
Geri started to date Christian Horner in February 2014. They got engaged on 11 November 2014 and they tied the knot on 15 May 2015.
The wedding was held at St. Mary’s Church which is in Woburn, Bedfordshire. Their son Montague arrived on 21 January 2017.
