Thomas Kingston, the husband of Lady Gabriella passed away.
The cause of his death is still under investigation.

Thomas Kingston, the husband of Lady Gabriella, and former boyfriend of Pippa Middleton passed away at age 45.

The news of the British financier’s death was released on behalf of Lady Gabriella Kingston, Martin and Jill Kingston, Joanna Connolly, and Emma Murray. It read,

“It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother. Tom was an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him. His death has come as a great shock to the whole family, and we ask you to respect our privacy as we mourn his passing.”

A palace spokesperson confirmed that the King and Queen were also confirmed about his death.

“The King and The Queen have been informed of Thomas’s death and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in grieving a much-loved member of the family. In particular, Their Majesties send their most heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and to all the Kingston family,”

Thomas passed away in his Gloucestershire home with emergency service called to the scene shortly after 6 p.m.

While the cause of Kingston’s death is still under investigation, no suspicious circumstances or other parties are involved.

Kingston was a director at Devonport Capital. His biography on the company’s website says that he has a bachelor’s degree in economic history from Bristol University. He previously worked at Schroders and Voltan Capital.

Kingston’s past relationship with Princess Catherine’s sister

Thomas passed away less than five years after he and the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, 42, tied the knot. The couple announced their engagement in September 2018.

They said I DO at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on May 18, 2019. Their royal wedding took place exactly a year after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married at the same location on May 19, 2018.

The bride paid tribute to her family tradition by wearing a Russian Fringestyle diamond tiara. It was also worn by her grandmother, Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, and her mother, Princess Michael of Kent, on their wedding days.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Harry also attended the wedding.

Kingston once dated Princess Catherine’s younger sister, Pippa. Despite ending their courtship in 2011, the two remained friends throughout the years.

Thomas and Gabriella attended Pippa’s wedding to James Matthews in May 2017. Then the couple returned the favor as guests at Kingston and Lady Gabriella’s nuptials two years later.

Gabriella who is 56th in line to the throne behind her father, older brother, and two young nieces is a non-working member of the British royal family.

Lady Gabriella and Kingston often attended royal events such as Wimbledon, Royal Ascot, and Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
