Tom Lembong is an Indonesian Politician. Tom is most recognized for his role as the Head of Indonesia’s Investment Coordinating Board since 2016.

Moreover, Lembong previously served as Indonesia’s Trade Minister from 2015 to 2016.

Tom was born on 4th March 1971 in Jakarta, Indonesia. His born name is Thomas Trikasih Lembong.
He is the son of Yetty Lembong and T Yohanes Lembong.

Aside from that, Lembong holds Indonesian nationality and belongs to the Javanese ethnicity. Regarding his educational background, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Urban Design from Harvard University in 1994.

Tom Lembong: Career

In 1995, Tom started working for Morgan Stanley (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. in the Equity Division. From 1999 to 2000, he worked for Deutsche Securities Indonesia as an investment banker. From 2000 to 2002, he served as the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency’s (IBRA) division leader and senior vice president. Moreover, he was employed by Farindo Investments from 2002 to 2005.

Lembong was co-founder, CEO, and managing partner of Quvat Management Pte. Ltd., a private equity fund founded in 2006, before being appointed to the cabinet.

From 2012 to 2014, he was president and commissioner of PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk (BlitzMegaplex). He currently advises the Consilience Policy and the Jakarta Investment Board.
