Tzuyu is a Taiwanese K-pop star, dancer, and singer who has millions of followers on social media. She is a famous band member of “TWICE” and a main vocalist and dancer handled under JYP Entertainment.
Furthermore, her on-screen appearances include herself in TV shows like ‘Weekly Idol’, ‘Knowing Bros, and ‘Idol Room’. Twice: Hare Hare, Twice: Moonlight Sunrise, and Twice: Set Me Free were her most recent films.

Chou appeared in the South Korean reality television show Sixteen, developed by JYP Entertainment, in 2015. She went on to join the newly formed female group Twice as one of nine successful contestants.
Chou made her formal debut as a member of Twice in 2015, with the release of their first extended play, The Story Begins. Its main single “Like Ooh-Ahh” became the first K-pop debut song to receive 100 million views on YouTube.
Tzuyu has since served as a presenter on several South Korean music television shows.

Huang An, a Chinese musician, accused Tzu of being a Taiwanese independence campaigner on social media. Chinese nationalists also bombarded her with hateful comments.
The ordinary people soon joined in, accusing her of exploiting the Chinese population while being pro-independence. Following the controversy, Chinese television stations banned ‘TWICE,’ and numerous Chinese corporations canceled their brand-endorsement relationships with her.
As a result, Chou was forced to apologize through video. But the harm had already been done. ‘JYP Entertainment’ experienced a significant setback. The topic garnered international notice as it was believed to have influenced Taiwanese election outcomes.
