Jade Amelia Thirlwall known by her stage name Jade Thirlwall is a member of Little Mix (Girl group). Jade was born on 26 December 1992, which makes her 30 years old at present. She is known as Edna which is her nickname.

Born to parents James Thirlwall (father) and Norma Badwi (mother), born in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, England, UK. Jade was raised along with her older brother named Karl David Thirlwall. Karl is already married and has three children.

This British talent joined Steps Dance and Fitness from the age of three to fifteen. She attended the Performer’s Stage School at the age of nine. At the age of thirteen, she went to St. Wilfrid’s Community College. During her childhood, she studied several courses.

At the young age of six, Jade Thirlwall set her goal to become a singer. As she used to sing during her schooling days, her passion for singing began since then. Even then as a youngster, she struggled with anorexia nervosa. Her birth sign is Capricorn.

Journey to X-Factor and Little Mix

During her school days, Jade Thirlwall participated in singing competitions. At the early age of 16, she began performing in clubs and pubs.

Finally, in 2008, Jade went for the audition for ‘The X Factor’. She made it through the audition but, was eliminated at the Bootcamp stage. It was because of the lack of confidence.

Again in 2010, she came back for the audition. But her solo audition failed and she was paired with Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Jade was kept in a group that year named Orion.

Later, she along with Leigh-Anne moved to ‘Little Mix’. This girl band along with Leigh-Anne, Jesy Nelson, and Perrie Edwards was able to win the title in the eighth season of ‘The X Factor.’

After X-Factor, Little Mix came up with amazing singles and albums. Little Mix’s debut album was released in 2012. It was successful to chart at #4 on the US Billboard 200. Their YouTube channel holds millions of subscribers (9,624,868 subscribers currently) from all around the world.

Jade Thirlwall’s personal life

Talking about her personal life, Jade was in a relationship with Sam Craske (dancer). Their relationship began back in 2012 and dated till 2014.

Sam also won Britan’s Got Talent in 2009, is also a member of Diversity (a dance troupe). The reason behind their breakup was their busy schedules.

There were rumors about her dating Michael Auger who is a Singer of the band Collabro. Jade is now in a relationship with Jed Elliott. Jed is a Musical artist for the band The Struts.

Before dating each other, they were friends for some time. Therefore, in 2016 the couple started dating. There has not been any news of their separation.
