She recently announced her engagement to her boyfriend Anthony Davis on the ABC talk show, The View.
The War at Home Actress shared that they met in their 20s during acting classes, however, they disconnected for some time.

Newly engaged couple in town! Yvette Nicole Brown has taken the next step in her relationship with Anthony Davis.

The Community star, 52, exclusively revealed while co-hosting the ABC talk show, The View on Tuesday, December 12. She introduced her fiance on the show while pointing towards him, who was seated in the audience.

“I have some news, and I heard that The View is the place to announce things like this. I’m engaged, And he’s here! He’s here! That’s Tony,”

She then raised her hand showing off her engagement ring as the audience cheered. Co-host Sunny Hostin then asked Brown how she met her now-fiance, stating he is a “lucky man.”

How long have Yvette Nicole Brown and Anthony Davis been together?

The War at Home Actress shared that they met in their 20s during acting classes. However, Davis was married at the time. She disclosed on the show,

“We’ve known each other since we were in our 20s. We were in an acting class together at church years ago, He’s an amazing actor, by the way. Anthony Davis, everybody. He was married at the time, and we were platonic friends, and then we lost touch for a few years.”

Brown acknowledged that her late mother had a hand in the couple’s reunion in 2021. She said,

“I feel like my mom and his mom kind of did it, He’s just wonderful … he’s a nice man, you guys. He’s a nice, kind, loving man.”

Adding to that Davis also expressed his affection towards his now fiancee, Yvette. He said,

“She’s just the most beautiful person in the world,”

Similarly, the Act Your Age star recalled the moment when his soon-to-be husband proposed to her when they were in Ohio where her high school Warrensville Heights High School.

“We were celebrating that, and then [Davis] gave me a [lottery scratch card] and the scratcher said, ‘Will you marry me?’ I thought I was going to win some money and I won a man!”
