American basketball player, Dwight Howard, 37 has filed a petition in court to modify the child custody deal he had with his ex-girlfriend, Tiffany Render. He now has demanded primary custody of their daughter, Layla Lo’Ren Howard, 13. Know the reason for this appeal.

Dwight Howard and his relationships

Dwight Howard has been in multiple relationships until now. He was married once to Te’a Cooper. The wedding took place in 2020 but they divorced a year later. They have no kids together.

Moreover, Dwight was dating Tiffany Render from 2008 to 2010. And from 2009 to 2011, he had romantic relationships with both Royce Reed (former Orlando Magic cheerleader and a reality show star) and Hope Alexa (a fitness model from Vancouver, Canada). He was with Emili too in between and in 2011 was dating Christine Vest.

Additionally, Dwight also had relationships with Camilla Poindexter and Marion Denise Douglas in 2012. He briefly dated Teanna Trump in 2012 and Celina Powell in 2015. Melissa Rios is also one of his baby mamas.

Dwight’s kids are five in number though it is alleged that he has fathered eight children. The names of his five children are Braylon, Layla, Jayde, Dwight III, and Trey and David.

Braylon’s mother is Royce, Layla’s mom is Tiffany Render, Jayde’s mother is Hope, Trey’s is Christine Vest, and David’s is Melissa Rios, a real estate agent who died in 2020 due to epilepsy.

A deal was reached between Dwight and Tiffany earlier that Tiffany would have primary custody of their daughter, Layla while Dwight would have only visitation rights. And Dwight would pay child support money to Tiffany.

At the start, the child support amount was USD 12k. But earlier this year, this amount was reduced to USD 3k. This was done so because Dwight stated that he was earning USD 12 million when the five-figure child support money was decided. But now, he was not getting enough money to pay that sum. Hence, the amount was reduced and fixed at USD 3k per month.

But now, Dwight has filed a petition that he be granted primary custody of Layla and he would stop the payment of child support money. Instead, Tiffany has to pay him child support.

The new petition of Dwight states that Tiffany relocated to Florida in July this year. She did not tell him anything about this migration. Dwight also complained that Tiffany did not discuss with him major issues concerning their daughter’s education, general well-being, and healthcare.

Additionally, he has seen videos of his daughter on TikTok. Layla was scantily dressed in those videos and dancing to vulgar, sexual songs that played in the background. Layla was also making sexually inappropriate gestures in these videos.

Dwight has added that Tiffany is not taking proper care of their child. She is not supervising her well and has made her take part in a reality TV show without his consent. He added:

“Tiffany has demonstrated an inability to maintain a healthy home environment in which to raise the Minor Child.”
