Anthony Taylor’s first Premier League appointment was in February 2010, when he was appointed to coach Fulham against Portsmouth, which Fulham won 1-0. He refereed one more top-flight game that season before being named to the League’s Select Group of Referees for 2010-11.

Besides that, Anthony Taylor officiated the Football League Cup final between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur on March 1, 2015. He officiated both the FA Community Shield and the Football League Cup finals in 2015. Taylor was named the main referee for the 2017 FA Cup final on April 26, 2017. He was named the primary referee for the 2020 UEFA Super Cup on September 16, 2020.

Currently, Anthony Taylor was named as one of six English officials to oversee matches at the November and December 2022 FIFA World Cup in a May 2022 FIFA announcement.
