The Ultimatum alum, 23, shared the exciting news in a joint Instagram post on Monday, February 13 that she and Cody are expecting their first child together.

Marie shared a slideshow of images of the pair from a beach photoshoot, each holding a positive pregnancy test and ultrasound. She then wrote underneath the post,

“The hardest secret we’ve ever had to keep! Coming Soon… 2023.”

On Valentine’s Day, she shared another post sharing more pictures from their photoshoot marking their romantic holiday with a lengthy message.

In the message, she describes the sentiments she, Cody, and their family members had when they first learned about their pregnancy.

The couple discovered their pregnancy last year on December 12, 2022. She started,

“Made a bestie with my bestie.”

She continued,

“Mommy & daddy wanted to enjoy our privacy & special moments as we navigate through changes, watch you grow & make sure we made it through the first trimester. I was so numb because I couldn’t believe it…. But now that we are here, it’s finally starting to feel so real.”

The announcement of her pregnancy comes almost a year after the season premiere of The Ultimatum in April, in which she appeared with her ex-boyfriend Jake Cunningham.

The former couple had called it quits on their relationship by the end of the season. April revealed during the reunion episode that she had moved on to a new, “serious” relationship with an “older” man.

Melhoun first revealed her “serious” and “healthy” relationship with Cooper in April. She revealed her relationship status in her post, writing,

“One day… you’re gonna meet someone. And they’re gonna make you realize… That there was never anything wrong with you,”

April highlighted the weeks of her pregnancy journey

April described the experience as a “rollercoaster,” because when she first visited the doctors with “a feeling” she was pregnant, the doctor denied her pregnancy.

She continued by saying that she returned to the doctor again in the fifth week to confirm her suspicions, and that’s when she found she was pregnant. She wrote,

“There you were on your first ultrasound.”

The reality star went on to explain that they told the family about the baby shortly in the sixth week of her pregnancy. She illustrated,

“We shared the news with your beautiful aunties, uncles, grandmas & grandpas. (You have no idea how loved you are already.)”

In the eighth week of pregnancy, the soon-to-be parents heard their unborn child’s heartbeat. Later, April rounded out her statements by remarking,

“These first two months flew, so we can only imagine how fast time will fly before you finally come into this world & completely change ours. Until then, Mommy & Daddy cannot wait to meet you. (P.s. I hope you look more like me, thanks xo)”
