The Thank u Next hitmaker filed for divorce last month after two years of marriage. A source claimed that the split was amicable, saying,
“Ariana and Dalton really wanted to take care of each through all of this and make it as easy on one another as possible — which is why they really took their time with everything.”
In the filing, the date of separation was listed as Feb. 20 but the couple only filed for divorce the next month.
The source added of the separation,
“They have a strong mutual respect for each other.”
The settlement was filed on Friday.
The documents also state that rather than paying monthly spousal support, Ariana is giving an upfront payment which would be a better financial arrangement for her ex-husband.
Apparently, the agreement filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court also gives the 28-year-old Gomez, a successful realtor continued 24-hour security. Grande wanted her ex to live a private and safe life after their split.
The pop star, 30, also requested that the estranged couple’s prenuptial agreement be honored in the September—18 divorce filing in Los Angeles. Grande’s celeb lawyer Laura Wasser cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the couple’s split.
An insider said in July,
“They came to the decision together,”
“They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends.”
