Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis have split up
Split alert! Ashley Adionser, a star from Season 7 of Netflix’s Love Is Blind, has separated from her husband Tyler Francis.
The pair called it quits on their relationship after less than a year of marriage.
On Monday, January 21, Ashley confirmed the split in a statement that she and Tyler are no longer married. She said,
“After much reflection, I want to share that Tyler and I have been separated for several weeks and have now made the difficult decision to end our marriage. While I had hoped for mutual understanding and transparency in our relationship, it has become clear that our paths are no longer aligned, making it impossible for me to continue in this marriage.”
Similarly, she expressed that the choice was not made “lightly” and was necessary for her personal “growth and peace.” She concluded,
“While this chapter is ending, I will always hold respect for the time and love we shared. I kindly ask for privacy during this deeply personal time as I focus on healing and building a new future. Thank you for your understanding and support.”
Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis face backlash over sperm donor revelation
Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis met and became engaged in the pods during the seventh season of Love Is Blind, which aired in October 2024.
Their relationship quickly gained popularity among viewers but faced difficulties when Tyler disclosed he had fathered three children through sperm donation in Episode 9.
Ashley was upset at first but later understood the situation, so they decided to continue their engagement and ultimately marry during the season finale.
Meanwhile, the revelation sparked a social media controversy, especially after Bri Thomas, the mother of his children, shared her perspective on the situation.
She disputed some of Tyler’s claims in a series of now-deleted Instagram videos before the finale and reunion aired.
She claimed they were actively “co-parenting” their three children before he departed for filming, but his relationship with the kids changed upon his return.
Additionally, she mentioned they were involved in legal custody proceedings regarding the kids.
In a heartfelt discussion on the show, Tyler recounted how he became a sperm donor to help a friend. He said,
“I had a very close friend. Her and her wife wanted to have a baby. And they couldn’t afford a sperm donor. I thought that was God telling me, you know, ‘Help someone else.’ And it felt good.”
When asked if he had seen the children, he admitted he had not.
Love Is Blind Reunion
During the reunion episode, Tyler confessed he had not been entirely truthful about his involvement with the children, explaining he had “voluntarily stepped in” to help care for them when needed.
Ashley supported Tyler during this challenging time and clarified her awareness of his situation before the public discussion.
She requested privacy as they dealt with these personal changes and expressed her respect for their shared experiences.
Similarly, Tyler acknowledged his past actions, stating,
“There’s pictures of me around, I played a part that became very shaky with a friend. There’s no rule books to this… but I do want to let people know Ashley knows all this. This is news to the world, this has never been news to us.”
For her part, Ashley denied the claims that Tyler’s revelations “blindsided” her, stating that they were “insulting to her intelligence.”
She recognized that some aspects of the situation were comfortable for Tyler to share while others were not. She added,
“With him growing up in a single-parent household… it was very hard for him to remove himself [from this situation] and not be involved when this is now a single mom, I know he is a good person who went in a little too deep and didn’t know what to do next.”
Tyler Francis addresses child support allegations and fatherhood
Tyler did not respond to allegations of owing child support and abandoning his children during the reunion, as it was filmed before these claims surfaced online.
However, he later addressed these issues on the “Dear Future Wifey” podcast in November 2024.
On the podcast, Tyler explained that he was “not active” in his children’s lives due to a difficult relationship with their mother and dismissed claims of being an absent father.
He wanted his children to have a family without him, calling himself a “glorified babysitter” who provided financial support to their mother.
