Ashley Laconetti and Jared Haibon are expanding their family. Bachelor in Paradise couple are expecting their second child together.

On Monday, January 22, the couple announced the pregnancy during their appearance on Amazon Live. During the live stream, Jared revealed Ashley is currently 13 weeks pregnant.

He said,

“We’re super excited to announce that Ashley is pregnant,”

The couple is already a parent to a 2-month-old son Dawson.

While speaking to PEOPLE, Ashley expressed that she’s “overwhelmed as hell” about growing her family. She said,

“We want Dawson to have a sibling. That’s very important. Both of us come from families with two kids. So we wanted to give that to Dawson, I want that big family dynamic, but man, having so many kids is just so overwhelming. So even the idea of a second kid, it’s no longer two-on-one where we can play defense against him. Now it’s just one-on-one.”

Similarly, she went on to acknowledge that this pregnancy has “been a lot easier than the other one”. She explained,

“I had hyperemesis gravidarum last time, so that meant that basically I threw up almost every, well, I threw up multiple times a day up to about 30 weeks. And the first 16 to 18 weeks were just absolutely debilitating.”

“So I’m just so freaking grateful that I’m not experiencing that, I haven’t been great. I don’t like the feeling of being pregnant. I never want to feel this again. Just don’t like it.”

Further, the soon-to-be mom-to-two ensured that this would be their last pregnancy. The baby’s due date is in July.

Ashley Laconetti suffered a miscarriage before this pregnancy

Ashley opened up about her miscarriage in a Us Weekly that she first experienced a chemical pregnancy. She told the outlet,

“It’s week five miscarriage where basically the day that you think that you’re going to get your period, you end up bleeding. But I had already had a positive pregnancy test. So for three days, I thought I was pregnant,”

She continued,

“And that was cute and it was on video and it was just an adorable thing. And then I had the chemical pregnancy. Then the next month, I just felt not right one night and it was close to my missed perios and I just was like, ‘I’m going to go home and take a pregnancy test.'”

Fortunately, the result was positive but Laconetti revealed that Haibon initially didn’t believe and wasn’t convinced by the test.

“I was like, ‘Jared, if it’s faint at all, it’s positive,”
