Astrid Loch and her husband Kevin Wendt have expanded their family. The reality tv star, 32, took to Instagram on Tuesday, January 31 to announce the happy news that she is pregnant again.

She shared a black and white photo of Kevin holding up lit birthday cake, who recently turned 39, on her Instagram story writing next to the photo,

“BABY DADDY times two. Test results came back POSITIVE so we’re celebrating @Kevin.c.wendt birthday a day early.”

The pair, who met on season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise in 2018, is already a parent to their 14-month-old son August.

Kevin, for his part, shared two photos, the first of which showed him holding his son while getting close to him, as well as featuring a positive pregnancy test. Likewise, the second one had a picture of him, his wife Astrid, and their son August.

The firefighter then simply captioned the post,

“Happy birthday to me! Auggy is going to be a big brother this fall!! Who would have thought the best birthday gift I ever got was pee on a stick.”

He then went on to reveal that Loch is just four weeks pregnant, and acknowledged that “sharing the happy news” at such a young stage in pregnancy “isn’t something you see often”.

However, he added that they wanted to be truthful,” regarding their IVF process and “struggles to conceive.” He then concludes his statement, remarking,

“So fingers crossed this pregnancy is smooth sailing from here as we continue to try and grow our little Wendt gang.”

Astrid was open about her IVF journey on social media

Astrid posted an ultrasound image of the couple’s embryo transfer less than two weeks before noting that “Not a pregnancy announcement (yet)”.

She shared an Instagram carousel that included a video of the sonogram, as well as numerous medications, instructions, and more. After that, the former Bachelor clarified in writing,

“Today was transfer day so we’re holding our breath and keeping our fingers crossed. Last time this all felt much harder to share, there was so much more fear. but you guys have been an incredible community so this time I’m taking you along for the ride.”
