Tyler Fernandez proposes to Alexis Waters on her 30th birthday

Congratulations are to Bachelor alum Alexis Waters and her boyfriend Tyler Fernandez who announced their engagement on social media.

The reality star had more to celebrate on her 30th birthday over the weekend with a big sparkly surprise from the man she loves.

Waters could not contain her excitement as she shared a video of her longtime boyfriend popping the question on a yacht in Miami. The couple’s closest friends were present to celebrate the reality star’s birthday.

The short clip showed the future groom on one knee with the ring. Waters looked emotional and gleefully said yes. The couple shared a sweet embrace and a kiss as all their friends cheered them on.

After announcing the good news, Alexis also shared a snapshot of her huge diamond ring. The photo showed the reality star lying in bed wearing a yacht captain’s hat wearing the bling on that finger.

She wrote,

“Thank you to everyone for all the love this weekend,”

Alexis’s close friend Rachel Lindsay also shared the engagement news on her Instagram Stories, writing,

“Omg @Alexiswaters_ I am so happy for you! I can’t handle it!!! Big congrats,”

Further, Waters reposted the video on her Instagram Stories.

Alexis talked about her engagement a year ago

Waters gained fame after appearing in season 21 in 2017 hoping to gain Nick Viall‘s affection. While she brought some uniqueness to the show, the New Jersey native was sent home in week 5.

In August 2017, Alexis returned to the franchise in season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise but got eliminated in week 2.

In June 2018, Waters announced to her fans that she was in a relationship on Twitter.

Thanking Lindsay for bringing Fernandez into her life, Alexis said,

“I honestly have to thank @kaitlynbristowe for not picking @viallnicholas28 who later became the #Bachelor where I met @TheRachLindsay who introduced me to my future husband ❤️ #IsThatCreepy?”

The couple has always been very open about their relationship and often share sweet moments between them on Instagram.

Exactly a year ago, Waters noted that she was not in a rush to get engaged. She told Us Weekly,

“I mean we’re both hustling hard right now, just focusing on our businesses. We know we’re gonna be together so there’s no rush and he’s he got a little lucky because like I’m young still. So he’s got time.”
