Who is BamBam?

Bambam is a popular Thai rapper, singer, songwriter, and dancer based in South Korea with millions of fans. He is most known for being a member of the South Korean boy band Got7.

BamBam is well-known for his roles in Dream Knight, SBS Gayo Daejun, and GOT7: You Calling My Name. He was most recently seen in 2023 in BamBam: Sour & Sweet and Our Story Never Ends.

Rumors, Controversy

In 2023, on the most recent edition of Bam’s House, hosted by GOT7’s BamBam, he invited YouTuber Poongja as a guest. During one of their chats, BamBam was asked if he had just become a fan of someone. To this, the GOT7 member responded that it was either Aespa’s Winter or NewJeans’ Haerin, and the reaction was overwhelmingly unfavorable.

Following the ensuing controversy and concerns surrounding BamBam and his statements against NewJeans’ Haerin, his agency, ABYSS Company, issued a formal statement stating that they will take severe legal action against anyone who has been harshly commenting about GOT7’s BamBam.

BamBam: Bio, Age, Parents, Ethnicity

Kunpimook Bhuwakul, also known as BamBam, was born on May 2, 1997, in Bangkok, Thailand. He is 27 years old as of 2024. Kunpimook was the youngest child of his parents and practices Christianity as a religion. He is Thai in nationality and Asian in ethnicity.

BamBam was raised by his mother Kochakorn Bhuwakul, and three siblings. Unfortunately, his father died when he was three years old. He has two elder brothers and a younger sister, the names of whom are still being determined.

BamBam has always been interested in Korean culture and aspired to be a singer since he was a child. He began learning to dance and sing when he was 10 years old and was a member of the dance team We Zaa Cool alongside Lisa of Blackpink.

Bambam attended Saiaksorn Elementary School for his elementary education. He went to Pramoch Wittaya Ramindra School and graduated in January 2020. Aside from that, there is no information about his educational background.

BamBam: Profession, Career

BamBam passed the JYP World Tour Audition in Thailand when he was 13 and traveled to South Korea to become a trainee. He trained for around three and a half years under JYP Entertainment before making his Got7 debut. His first pre-debut appearance was in a 2013 edition of Mnet’s reality survival show WIN: Who Is Next.

In 2014, he made his debut as the lead rapper, dancer, and youngest member of the South Korean boy band Got7 with ‘Girls Girls Girls. In addition, he and his bandmates made their acting debut with their web drama “Dream Knight.” He was named the permanent host of ‘M! Countdown‘ in 2015.

He contributed to his team’s record by composing, writing lyrics, and generating Lyric videos. Similarly, he launched his own apparel line ‘DoubleB’ in December 2015. He enjoys creating and editing videos, and he has shared a self-directed, self-edited video named “My Year 2018” on the group’s YouTube Channel.
