Brendan Hunt and his long-time girlfriend Shannon Nelson took a milestone step in their relationship.

The 51-year-old actor took to Instagram to announce that he popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, with whom he shared a 2-year-old son Sean.

On a June 29, Instagram post, he shared a casual photo of Shannon showing off her ring and captioned it,

“The majestic @snoopshann, so rarely photographed in her natural habitat, captured here in the act of saying “yes.””

Shannon, for her part, also shared a similar post on her respective Instagram page while the second photo shows a selfie of the couple posing with her rocker. She then captioned it,

“We are a family, A beautiful wonderful family and will be for always. Some folks have assumed we had already done this, but truth be told we had other priorities in becoming a family.”

The Drop Dead Gorgeous alum continued,

“Now it feels right. I get to marry this beautiful man. I get to call him my husband and to be his wife and I am the luckiest.”
