Brooke Sealey and her relationship with Jeff Gordon

Brooke Sealey gained fame when she married the stock car racing executive, Jeff Gordon. She was a Miss Winston Cup model at that time. Jeff was a stock car racing driver and had won the first of the two qualifying races for the 1993 Daytona 500. When he saw Brooke in victory lane at Daytona International motorway, he fell for her.

Jeff fell in love with her at first sight and began dating her secretly because there existed an unwritten rule that drivers cannot date models. Brooke had revealed:

“He approached me at Daytona and asked me to go eat lunch. His speech was trembling. He was very anxious.”

Jeff added:

“I was really anxious. Five trips to the loo were made by me.”

About the engagement, Jeff also revealed:

“I was trying to get the ring just right. I carried it in my pocket.”

After Brooke finished her role of Miss Winston at end of 1993 season, they publicly declared that they were a pair.

One year later, Jeff proposed to her in a fully-reserved banquet hall of a French restaurant in Daytona Beach. The couple wed on 26 November 1994. They left their home Lake Norman in North Carolina and moved to Highland Beach in Florida.

The divorce

For 7 to 8 years, things seemed OK in their married life. But in 2002, Brooke accused Jeff of marital misconduct and infidelity. She put in her divorce papers the same year. The papers stated that Jeff was having an extramarital affair with professional model Deanna Merryman.

Brooke’s demand was exclusive right of their oceanfront home worth USD 9 million, two cars, periodic use of their boats and air plane and alimony. Jeff refused to give these to her and ultimately the divorce was settled with Jeff paying Brooke USD 15.3 million. It was the costliest divorce settlement of those times.

Is Brooke remarried?

Brooke dated and wed her Charlotte lover, James Dixon II. It is not clear when they wed but on 2 September 2009, they had a son. And the couple gave him the surname of Brooke. Not her maiden surname but that of Gordon. It is said that she did this as she was uncertain of their relationship! But the two separated soon after.

And in 2010, Brooke had her third marriage with Mullin McLeod. He is a famous attorney and had stood for the election of the post of governor of South Carolina.

Currently, Brooke stays at Charleston with her third husband. She has avoided the spotlight and seems content and happy with her life.

On the other hand, Jeff went on to first establish a relationship with model Amanda Church and later marry Ingrid Vandebosch. He met Ingrid at a dinner party at The Hamptons in 2002. A mutual friend had introduced them. It was only later in 2004 that they started dating. They engaged in June 2006 and had an intimate wedding the same November in Mexico.

On 20 June 2007, their first child daughter Ella Sofia Gordon arrived. And on 9 August 2010, they had a son, Leo Benjamin Gordon. The family lives in Charlotte, North Carolina in the SouthPark neighborhood.
