NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace and Amanda Carter are now officially a married couple.

The 29-year-old race car driver married his long-term girlfriend Amanda Carter on New Year’s Eve in front of 250 guests in a romantic and intimate ceremony. The wedding ceremony took place at the JW Marriott in Charlotte, North Carolina, on December 31.

Wallace told PEOPLE,

“Getting married, and starting a new life together, I’m just so excited to have a good one in my corner. We have so much fun together.”

Adding to that Amanda went on to say,

“We just have such a good bond. I love the time we spend together. We could sit around together all day every day and we don’t get tired of one another…And he’s also handsome and charming.”

Last year, the beautiful couple got engaged in July. Similarly, they took a milestone in their relationship after five years of dating.

The newlyweds plan to fly off to Bora Bora for their honeymoon before Wallace returns to racing when the new NASCAR season starts in February.

The bride of the day, 28, stunned in a strapless white lace fit and flare gown by Madam Barcu Couture. For the ceremony, she wore a small veil that cascaded down her back while her long dark hair was styled in a low chignon.

Similarly, she completed her looks with a pair of shoes by Lola Cruz. She carried a bouquet of stem red and white roses while walking down the aisle.

The groom, on the other hand, looked dapper in a custom dark red velvet tuxedo jacket and charcoal pants designed by Stitch by Mitch.

Their big day was planned by Fabulously Created Events, which decided to go all-white flowers with accents of greenery and candles. Tables were adorned with personalized ‘Welcome’ cards, snacks, and party favors, as well as a personalized tote bag.

Following their handwritten vows, the couple joined their guests for cocktail hour, which included an open bar and passed hors d’oeuvres such as tuna tartar, duck meatballs, pulled pork spring rolls, blue crab croquettes, and whipped ricotta.

The main course was made up of small bite stations featuring their favorite cuisines, such as Italian, Asian stir fry, burgers, and tacos.

Similarly, Carter gushed about her wedding decoration to PEOPLE,

“We wanted the ceremony, (which was held on the hotel’s 4th floor) to be formal, and then as soon as you walk down the staircase to the reception, we wanted the whole mood to flip,”

“The flowers are changing from white to vibrant with pinks, purples, reds, with a lot of sparkle and shine in the room. We wanted the reception to feel like a New Year’s Eve party.”

As for the reception, the newlywed entered the dance floor where the fog machine created a fluffy white cloud. The guests counted down to midnight on the holographic checkered flag dance floor to wrap up the memorable evening.

Similarly, they toasted with champagne and sparkles once the clock reached midnight.
