Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford: their relationship

In 2002, actress Calista Flockhart started dating Harrison Ford. She was 38 years of age at that time while Harrison was already 60 years of age. There was a wide age gap of 22 years between the two. Moreover, he had the reputation of been a womanizer. Their relationship did raise a lot of eyebrows and people thought that it would not last. But, they are together since last 21 years and their relationship is going strong. They married in June 2010 at Santa Fe, New Mexico and are raising their adopted son, Liam, together. Calista had adopted the male baby in 2001.

Harrison met his first wife, Mary Marquardt in college. They walked down the aisle together in 1964. Their son, Benjamin was born in 1966 and their second son, Willard arrived in 1969.

In the 1970s, as his fame rose, he was involved in several extramarital relationships. That took its toll on his married life. He had a whirlwind three months romance with his co-star, Carrie Fisher. Carrie had herself confirmed this report. Mary and Harrison split in 1979.

Later, Harrison began dating screenwriter, Melissa Mathison and they wed in 1983. They welcomed their first child, son Malcolm in 1987. Their daughter, Georgia was born in 1990. The couple separated in 2000 and the divorce was completed in 2004.

Calista and Harrison have a strong affection for each other. In 2015, Harrison survived a near fatal plane crash and Calista was by his side throughout. She said:

‘I think it just makes you realize once again that life can turn on a dime, and we just have to appreciate every second we’re here, because you never know,’
