EXO’s Chen is getting married soon to his non-celebrity girlfriend who is pregnant with his child!

Chen from EXO shared some happy news with his fans via a handwritten letter!
His fiancee who is not from the entertainment world is pregnant and the couple is going to marry soon.

Update: Chen is married and has welcomed two children. The first child is a daughter born in April 2020 and the second child was born in January 2022. Whilst the gender of 2nd child is unknown.

Chen and the announcement

Earlier on 13 January, there was an article in Sporbiz that said that Chen has already married his fiancee. A source of the couple told the news outlet that they wed on 13 January.

But later his agency SM Entertainment denied the wedding and released the following statement:

“Hello. This is SM Entertainment.
Chen has met someone precious to him and will be getting married. The bride is a non-celebrity, and the wedding will be held privately with only their families in attendance.
To respect their families’ opinions, the wedding and everything related to it will be held privately, so we ask fans and reporters for their kind understanding.
Chen will continue to work hard as an artist.
We ask you to send Chen lots of blessings and messages of celebration.
Thank you.”

Is Chen’s girlfriend pregnant?

SM Entertainment admitted that Chen’s girlfriend is indeed pregnant and Chen will be a father soon. The agency source said:

“It is true that Chen’s bride-to-be is pregnant. But because she is a non-celebrity, they cannot reveal how far she is in her pregnancy or any other related details.”

Chen is elated and also revealed it all through a handwritten letter. He said in it:

“Hello, this is Chen.
I am writing this because I have something to tell our fans. I don’t know how to start this, and I’m very nervous. Although these words are not enough, I’m writing this letter because I want to honestly tell our fans, who gave us so much love, first.”

He added:

“I have a girlfriend I want to spend the rest of my life with. I was worried and concerned about the situations that would arise as a result of this decision, but I had been discussing with the agency and our members because I wanted to announce the news at least a little bit earlier so I wouldn’t surprise you with the sudden news.”

He thanked his fans and colleagues:
