Robinson was taken in the second round of the 1989 NBA Draft. He spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Portland Trail Blazers, then went on to play for the Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, and New Jersey Nets.
Cliff also got the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award in 1993 and was named an NBA All-Star in 1994. He attended the University of Connecticut and played basketball for the Huskies. Furthermore, he spent four seasons at the University of Connecticut, beginning in 1985. The Huskies went on to win the 1988 National Invitation Tournament championship.
