Coleen Rooney shifted with her husband Wayne Rooney and four kids to Washington when DC United signed a contract with her football player husband Wayne.

She posted on her social media recently a picture of herself with her four boys. This was on the last day of their school term.

Coleen took this opportunity to praise her boys for having beautifully adjusted to the move. This Friday 28 June 2019, Coleen tweeted:

“Summer is here!! Last day of term for my boys!! So proud of how they have adapted to life in America.”

The picture was a black and white one and Coleen was lovingly looking at her children. All five were seated in the garden.

Coleen is married to football player Wayne and the couple shares 4 sons. These are Kai, 9, Klay, 6, Kit, 3, and Cass. Cass was born on 15 February 2018.

The couple met when Coleen was 12 years old. This was in the Liverpool suburb of Croxteth. After four years of knowing each other, they started dating. Wayne’s mother Jeanette was a part-time cleaner at the school in which Coleen studied.

Wayne, 33, and Coleen, 33 married on 12 June 2008 at Portofino in Italy. They sold their exclusive wedding pictures of Ok! for a price of £2.5 million. This year was their 11th wedding anniversary and they had a low-profile date night in Washington to celebrate it. On this occasion, Coleen had put up a sweet little message for Wayne. She wrote:

“11 years married!! Happy anniversary @waynerooney. It’s been a journey… Ups and downs, highs and lows… but you know what… I love you x.”

The response of social media and her fans

The fans of Coleen could not resist and began posting comments on the cute picture. They told her how much the boys resembled her. One of the followers of her social media wanted to know whether her kids had picked up the American accent. A third fan commented:

“Gorgeous pic,”

The drama in their married life in the last decade

The 10 years of their marriage were not smooth. They had their ups and downs. In December 2018, Wayne was arrested at Washington airport for being drunk.

Later, this February, Wayne was with barmaid Vicki Rosiek and boozing with her in Florida in the wee hours. The same month, Coleen had been on a vacation with her four sons but she was not accompanied by her husband.

After all these problems, the news is that Coleen had put down some rules that are to be followed to keep their marriage from collapsing. A source spoke to The Sun and said:

“Coleen is adamant Wayne can change his ways and she is helping him get out of the hole he’d fallen into.
“First to go was his video gaming obsession and Coleen is demanding he spend more time with the family at home, rather than in a different room staring at a screen. She is desperate for Wayne to end his childish antics and start growing up.
“Now she wants family dinners at home for them to connect and is making sure she sets aside time to spend with Wayne alone.”
