American comedian, Marlon Wayans, 51 is doing well in his professional life. But he has landed into a legal soup. Radaronline reports that he has a secret daughter aged one and a baby mama, Brittany Moreland, 34. The latter has now taken him to court over child support allowance and child custody.

American stand-up comedian, Marlon Wayans has found himself on the wrong side of the law. He has a case against him ongoing in the US court now. It is about his secret one-year-old daughter about which he did not disclose to anyone.

Marlon impregnated a woman who goes by the name, Brittany Moreland, 34. She has delivered a baby girl and the girl has turned one year of age already.

Brittany has sued Marlon stating that he is the father of her daughter. Moreover, Brittany has demanded child support allowance and also wants primary physical and legal custody of her daughter with Marlon.

Marlon has never talked about this woman called Brittany Moreland in his life. He had never revealed to anyone that she is his girlfriend. But she got pregnant with his baby and gave birth to a baby girl one year back. The daughter’s name is Axl July Ivory Wayans.

Additionally, Brittany has taken Marlon to court on this matter. She has put in claims that Marlon is the father of her child. Brittany has demanded that the court offer her primary legal and physical custody of their daughter. She wants Marlon to only have visitation rights over their daughter.

Brittany also wants Marlon to pay for her legal fees and refund the expenses she incurred during her pregnancy and childbirth. She adds in the legal documents that Marlon has a monthly earning amounting to USD 200000. Hence, he can easily cough up USD 21000 to her for her monthly expenses.

Brittany assets that she has to shell out USD 5k every month towards rent and USD 9k goes in child care, groceries, and other essential purchases for herself and her daughter.

Marlon prefers to keep his personal life under wraps. He usually does not talk much on it. But it is known that he was in a relationship with girlfriend Angela Zackery. He dated her from 1992 to 2013 when they parted ways. They were not married.

The couple shares two children together: a son Shawn and daughter, Amai. However, Amai has transitioned into a boy and her new name is Kai. Thus, Marlon now has two sons.

In November 2023, Marlon appeared on the show The Breakfast Club. There, he spoke about his daughter’s transition and how it affected him. Initially, he was ignorant of it, later he passed through a painful phase of denial before he accepted it whole-heartedly. He said:

“I have a daughter that transitioned into a son,”
“My daughter Amai is now Kai.”

He loves her unconditionally now. Marlon opened up about this aspect of his life because he wants to make parents aware of the facts of today’s lives. He said:

“I think there’s a lot of parents out there who need to have that message, and I know I’m dealing with it,”
“It is a very painful situation for me, but it’s one of the best, funniest hours [of comedy] I could ever imagine.”
