With many popular celebrities testing positive with Coronavirus, Daniel Dae Kim was one of them.
In the middle of March 2020, Daniel revealed that he was diagnosed with coronavirus which he believes he contracted while in New York City filming the television series New Amsterdam.

He shared a 10-minute long video on his Instagram and said that he had a scratchy throat while flying back to Hawaii to be with his family after filming on the series was halted due to the pandemic.

After arriving back in Hawaii, he self-isolated himself and he started showing symptoms like chest tightness, body aches, and fever.

His doctor suggested he get tested for Coronavirus. He took his doctor’s recommendation seriously and did it at a drive-thru testing center in Honolulu. He even revealed that he was self-isolating from the family and left his house only for the test.

Luckily, he did not have to be hospitalized and was treated with medicines and a doctor’s advice. He said,

“Today, even though I’m not 100%, I’m pretty close,”

Kim further added,

“If you treat this without care you are potentially endangering the lives of millions of people, including your loved ones,”

Daniel Dae Kim fully recovered

The Hawaii Five-0 actor Daniel Dae Kim has battled and defeated COVID-19 which is very good news for his fans and well-wishers. After recovering from the life-taking virus, he has the desire to help people with corona.

Similarly, it is revealed that he will be auctioning off his “Hawaii Five-0” scripts, signed by the original cast, to help hospitals. He said,

“I’m a bit of a pack rat as I mentioned in my social media post. I save everything. I save playbills from every play I’ve ever seen. Also, I save movie tickets. I saved all of the scripts on the shows that I’ve ever worked on and so every script that I ever worked on for ‘Hawaii Five-0’ is sitting in my house,”

Likewise, he added,

“When I was trying to figure out a way to help out our healthcare professionals. I thought, and since ‘Hawaii Five-0′ is coming to an end now, it might be a good time to see if there is a fan who wants a souvenir and can help a good cause.”

Daniel revealed that 50% of the money will go to designated hospitals in Hawaii and 50% will go to the hospital of the auction winner’s choice through a portal called protecttheheroes.org.

As per reports today is the last day of his auction.

After winning the battle against coronavirus, Kim has another good news to share. Moreover, he will appear in the series New Amsterdam. At present, the coronavirus pandemic caused a production shutdown and shortened the season of New Amsterdam.
