He made his professional debut for the team on 19th March 2016. On the 13th of January 2017, Upamecano signed four and half year contract with RB Leipzig.

Dayot Upamecano made his debut for the club on 4th February 2017. On 31st July 2020, he upgraded his contract by signing a new deal till 2023.

Bayern Munich 

Bayern Munich agreed with Dayot Upamecano to sign the contract for five years on 14th February 2021, which was effective from 1st of July 2021. The club reached out to Leipzig to meet Upamecano’s release clause.

On 16th July he played his first game for the club in a pre-season friendly. Besides he was for center-back at the opening of the 20211-2022 Bundesliga season as his competitive debut for the club.

International Career

From playing in U-16, Dayot Upamecano finally move up to France U-17 and made his debut in a European Championship qualifier. On 4th September 2015, he made his debut for France U-18.

Similarly, Upamecano made his debut in the national team of France on 5th September 2020. Furthermore, he is currently playing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and their team made it up to the Finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup beating Morocco 2-0.
