Desiigner addresses his mental health issues

Rapper Desiigner revealed he is taking a much-needed break from his music career for the sake of his mental health. The news came after he reportedly exposed himself while traveling on an international plane, recently.

The Panda rapper explained that he had a bad chemical reaction to a new medication that actually caused him to act weirdly. It happened while he was on a flight back home from his visit to Thailand and Tokyo.

He wrote on his Instagram Story on Thursday,

“For the past few months i have not been ok, and i have been struggling to come to terms with what is going on,”
“While overseas for a concert i performed at, i had to be admitted in to a hospital, i was not thinking clearly.”

The AMEN rapper continued,

“They gave me meds, and i had to hop on a plane home. I am ashamed of my actions that happened on that plane. I landed back to the states, and am admitting my self in a facility to help me.”

The rapper also said that he will be canceling all of his upcoming shows while getting the mental help he requires.

The 25-year-old concluded,

“Mental health is real guys, please pray for me,”
“If your [sic] not feeling like yourself please get help.”

Desiigner’s past controversial acts

Sources revealed that the rapper whose real name is Sidney Selby will luckily not be facing any criminal charges despite his confusing behavior on the flight.

This is the second time Sidney has escaped jail punishment.

A few years ago, the controversial rapper was arrested in New York City for misdemeanor drug and menacing charges. The charges, however, were dropped just three months later.

At the time of his arrest, Police also revealed that the rapper possessed a handgun during a road fight. Despite that, he was never charged with anything related to guns and violence.

Fans flooded the comments section to send their best wishes for the troubled rapper.

One fan wrote,
