Lana Del Ray shares thoughts on starting her own family in a new interview. The Say Yes to Heaven singer, 38, said that “there is more to explore” in her life when she was asked about her plans to have kids.

Lana told The Sunday Times,

“That’s why God didn’t give me children yet,”
“Because there is more to explore. I know people who’ve tested every water. It’s burnt them, like Icarus. But I’m willing to go there.”

The Grammy winner said that she sees herself as a mom one day, noting,

“I see it coming for me. We’ll see. We’ll see what melts the wings.”

The singer’s comments on motherhood came soon after she confirmed to Harper’s Bazaar last month that she was single.

Lana who released a cover single of John Denver’s 1971 classic Take Me Home, Country Roads, on Friday, revealed that she broke up with her recent boyfriend after he didn’t get to her house.

“I feel like even the most chill guy doesn’t really want to chill here,”

The singer said that her former boyfriend wanted the idea of her and not who she really is and that was for her a ‘‘tough nut to swallow.”

The Ride singer added,

”I’m learning how. I’m learning. I know what I want,”

“In that person’s case, there was something going on with them, like a little bubble ego. See, I don’t get to have one anymore. It’s been smashed to … what do you call it? Smithereens. I’m sure it’s somewhere in my toe. That’s it. I’d love to grow one.”

The Dark Paradise hitmaker also discussed the negative impact of fame brought on her mental health.

She explained,

“You really have to take care of yourself, because putting your faith in the public is like building your house in the sand. They’ll turn and turn,”
“I’ve experienced that in all parts of my life.”

Ray added,

“People reveal sides of themselves years after you meet, so you have to ground yourself all the way down to your knees.”

Lana has a big and giving heart. The singer who wrapped up her mini fall tour in mid-October revealed that she plans to give back all the proceeds from her ticket sales.

Toward the end of her performance, the A&W singer said,

“I also wanted to let you know, for what it’s worth, every ticket, every dollar, it is poured right back into the city.”

Ray continued,

“Because it is not about that for me. I know that sounds cheesy, but I tour because I love it… I don’t need to. I just love it, and we’re all about the places we’ve been to.”
