Drake made fans unhappy with his new tattoo

Drake got a new face tattoo and it is definitely raising eyebrows.

The Take Care rapper showed off his new miskeen tattoo inked just above his brow arch on Saturday.

The word translates to poor or pathetic in Arabic and Amharic. However, it is also a common word in the musician’s hometown of Toronto to describe a “sweet and innocent” person, according to NOW Toronto.

Drake hasn’t spoken anything about the meaning of the tattoo and why he chose to get it inked.

Many internet users even called the Degrassi actor’s new ink ironic since he called himself poor.

One person wrote on Twitter,

“The dude lives in a $150m mansion,”

Another commented,

If Drake is miskeen what’s the word for the rest of us?”

A third person chimed in,

“The way Drake is anything but Miskeen,”

No one would call him poor since the One Dance hitmaker owns a mansion in Toronto worth $100 million, as per the US Sun.

A look at Drake’s lavish home

During his covert shoot with Architectural Digest in April 2020, the Grammy winner showed off his luxurious 50,000 sq. foot home.

The lavish property features a marble interior and touches of modern Art and Deco finishes. There is also an NBA-regulated basketball court inside the posh home.

He told the outlet at the time,

“It’s overwhelming high luxury,”

“That message is delivered through the size of the rooms and the materials and details of the floors and the ceilings.”

The rapper’s intention in building the house was to stand for more than 100 years in the town where he grew up.

He added,

“I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel,”

“It will be one of the things I leave behind, so it had to be timeless and strong.”

Inside the house, Drake also has a great collection of Birkin bags he has been collecting for his future wife, he admitted to the Hollywood Reporter in November 2017.

The Toronto home is not the only lavish property he owns. The Marvin’s Room rapper also has an  18,000-square-foot mansion in Beverly Hills which is worth $65 million.

He put it up for rent for an estimated $215,000 per month in October 2021.
