Gillian Taylforth splits from Dave Fairbairn

The 64-years-old star Gillian Taylforth of EastEnders fame was dating Dave Fairbairn for the past six years. But they reportedly have split. The veteran actress was planning to marry Dave but the wedding now stands canceled.

Gillian Taylforth found that the relationship was not working and hence broke up with her long-term partner. A source who is a friend of Gillian revealed:

“It’s a great shame after all this time together but it just wasn’t working out. They’ve called it quits on the best of terms.”

The relationship timeline of the couple

Gillian Taylforth and Dave started dating 6 years back. Dave is a past criminal and the court had convicted him for drug possession. In 2003, the Judge found him guilty of plotting to bring in one of the biggest ecstasy hauls into the UK. He has served a prison term of seven years for it.

The pair had earlier split in 2017. But they had patched up and rekindled their romance. On this second reunion, they had planned to walk down the aisle together. But this would not happen now.

Earlier, Gillian Taylforth was in a relationship with Geoff Knights since 1988. They resided in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire before shifting to Arrington, Cambridgeshire. They had two children together.Their first child is a daughter which Gillian delivered in 1992.

Gillian Taylforth’s main role was of Kathy Beale on the BBC show EastEnders. She was in Albert Square and appeared in Walford between 1985 and 2000. After this fame-giving role, she also appeared in Footballers’ Wives, The Bill, and Hollyoaks.

In 2015, she had a surprise comeback appearance in Albert Square. In this comeback, she received heaps of appreciation from her fans and audience for her gorgeous evergreen youthful look. One of her fans wrote on social media:

In January 1994, Gillian Taylforth sued The Sun for libel. They had published a story that she was involved in an oral sexual act with her partner Geoff in her Range Rover on the side of a road.

But she denied it stating that she was only giving a massage in his stomach when he had an acute attack of pancreatitis. But the Judges ruled in favor of the tabloid. Hearing the verdict, Gillian collapsed and the paramedics had to shift her to the hospital in an ambulance.
