Who is Erling Haaland?

Erling Haaland, also known by his full name Erling Braut Haaland is a professional football striker. He plays for Norway National Team and is currently signed with Premier League club Manchester City.

His nickname is “The Terminator”. Erling played in youth international in the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in which he won Golden Boot for scoring 9 goals.

On 1st February 2017, Molde announced that they will be signing the contract with Erling when he was just 16 years old at that time.

Similarly, On 26th April 2017, he made his debut for the club, and on 1st of July, 2018 he scored 4 goals in the first 21 minutes of the match leading them to win the game against Brann.

Furthermore, on 1st January 2019, he joined Austrian Bundesliga champions Red Bull Salzburg after signing a five-year-long contract with the club.

He made his debut for the club on 17th February 2019 but soon he left the club after appearing 22 times in the 2019-2020 season.

Haaland made his debut for the club Borussia Dortmund on 18th January 2020, after he signed the contract with the club on 29th December. On 20th June, Haaland made a goal that made them win the game against RB Leipzig.

Manchester City

On the 10th of May 2022, the Premium League4 Club Manchester City announced that they will sign a contract with Haaland and he will be joining the club on the 1st of July 2022 with a five-year contract.

He made his debut for the club on 30th July 2022. On 27th August Haaland made his fist hat-trick leading their win against Crystal Palace in Premier League.

He becomes the first person to score a hat-trick in 3 games in Premier League.

International Career

Haaland used to play for Norway in U-19, and U-20. He scored a hat-trick qualifying in the 2018 UEFA European U-19 Championship.

He set a record for most goals in U-20 World Cup.  On 5th September 2019, he made his debut for the national team in the senior category.

On the 4th of September 2020, he made his first goal in senior international and made his first international hat trick on the 11th of October. He also scored five goals in three of the qualification match in the World Cup.
