Gigi Hadid got in trouble during her mini vacation to the Cayman Islands.

The supermodel was arrested for carrying marijuana during her vacation in the Cayman Islands with her friends earlier this month.

Hadid and a friend were taken into custody after officials found ganja and utensils used for the consumption of ganja in their luggage on July 10, as per reports from Cayman Marl Road.

Gigi and her pal Leah Nicole McCarthy were arrested when customs officials suspected them of importation of Ganja and its utensils.

They later took the two to the Prisoner Detention Center and later released on bail.

Hadid and McCarthy appeared in Summary Court on July 12, where they had to pay a fine of $1,000 each.

However, no conviction was recorded.

The runway star’s rep later said in a statement on Tuesday,

“Gigi was traveling with marijuana purchased legally in NYC with a medical license,”
“It has also been legal for medical use in Grand Cayman since 2017.”
”Her record remains clear and she enjoyed the rest of her time on the island.”

The A-lister and her friends stayed at Palm Heights, a luxury boutique hotel that is a hotspot for many celebrities.

Despite the brief trouble, Hadid seemed to be in great spirits as she and the rest celebrated the belated birthday of McCarthy, 29.

The mother of one also shared other photos from her lavish beach vacation via Instagram on Tuesday with a caption, “All’s well that ends well,”

One video showed the Guest in Residence founder lounging in a beach chair along the shore. Another showed her in the sun wearing a sexy, tiny yellow bikini.

Shortly after she posted the beautiful snaps, fans flocked to the comment section, writing things about her arrest.

One fan wrote,

Another wrote,
