What happened between Greg Grippo and Katie Thurston?
Greg Grippo and Katie Thurston‘s date got heated up on the 2nd August 2021 episode of The Bachelorette. He opened up about the loss of his father during his hometown date. Also, he revealed to Katie that she ‘filled’ the hole in his heart for the first time since the family’s death. He said,
“I think you’re beautiful and I think you’re great. I didn’t know I was going to fall in love with you. Also, I didn’t know that. And I am in love with you. You just make me the happiest I’ve ever been. I see it with you. This is real to me,”
Previously Katie had told the camera that she was waiting to say “I Love You” to one contestant at the end of the journey. She claimed that she loves looking at him. But some awkward moments between them made Greg doubt his feelings for Katie. She said,
“I’ve never felt like you’ve wanted to give up until right now,”
It had made him more upset and the next day he showed up at her hotel room. Greg confessed that he thought she was the one and when he expressed his love she did not feel it and dismissed it in his eyes. Katie revealed that she had told his family that he was receiving a rose. In the end, Greg left her hanging by quitting the show. She said,
“I’m, like, shaking. I don’t even know what to say. I’m shocked. I want to leave, if I’m being completely honest, because I didn’t see any of this happening,”
