Halle Bailey and DDG’s newborn son, Halo, made his debut in the rapper’s latest music video.
The little one’s brief appearance in the music video came hours before the couple announced his birth on social media.
The “Little Mermaid” star and the rapper confirmed the arrival of their first child on Saturday.

Halle Bailey and DDG‘s newborn son, Halo, made his music video debut even before his parents announced his birth.

In the rapper’s music video for Darryl Freestyle which came out on Saturday, a short clip shows him cradling his baby boy in a white blanket before the video flashes to another scene.

The I’m Geekin rapper whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., also paid a short tribute to Bailey and their baby in the lyrics.

The new dad raps,

“Silver Spoon kid / I know Halo don’t want for nothing,”
“He crying / His mama coming / She’s stronger than Wonder Woman.”

The cover art for the SoundCloud track contains the image of a baby’s face. However, it is not sure whether the pic is of their baby.

The Little Mermaid star, 23, and the rapper, 26, announced they welcomed their baby boy on Saturday evening.

Bailey wrote on Instagram at the time,

“even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼✨,”
“the world is desperate to know you 😉😂♥️.”

The proud mama also shared her son’s hand, showing a little gold bracelet on his tiny wrist with the inscription Halo.

DDG also posted the exciting news on his own Instagram account.

He captioned it, “My biggest blessing by far 👶❤️ son son.. never been so in love baby halo,”

Bailey and DDG hid their pregnancy news until Halo’s birth

Despite fans’ speculation for months, the lovebirds didn’t confirm that they were expecting a baby together.

Halley even told people who were commenting about her pregnancy nose to “leave [her] alone.”

In November, the star took to her Snapchat Story, saying,

“If I see one more person say something about my nose one more time, it’s gonna be hell to pay,”
“And you know why?”
“‘Cause I am black. I love my nose.”

Halley’s pregnancy rumors made headlines in September 2023 when she attended the MTV VMAs in a flowing orange dress that hid her stomach.

A source told Page Six at the time,

“Halle stayed away from the pink carpet so she would not be photographed, and when she was inside, she was very mindful in the way she gave hugs, and who she gave them to,”

They added,

“The orange dress flow was an indicator she was trying to hide,”
“She would keep her distance when someone got too close, and she gave out more handshakes than her [usual] enduring embraces.”

The Grown-ish actress and the rapper went Instagram official in March 2022. Just three months later, they made their Instagram debut.

Bailey told Essence in August 2022 that the rapper inspired her.

She said,

“I grew up being on YouTube and would always see the young Black creators and was constantly inspired by them. He was one of them,”
