Hwasa is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper, composer, and TV personality with millions of followers on social media. She is well-known globally as a member of Mamamoo and the Refund Sisters.
Hwasa departed RBW in 2023 and joined P Nation. She was most recently seen in Hwasa: I Love My Body, Hwasa Show, and Dance Singer’s Wandering Troupe in 2023.

Hwasa made her debut as a member of the girl group Mamamoo on June 19, 2014, with the release of the lead track “Mr. Ambiguous” off their first extended play (EP) Hello. “My Heart/I Do Me” from Hello was her debut solo song, which she wrote and composed.
Hwasa’s second solo single, “Be Calm,” was released in 2018 as part of Mamamoo’s sixth EP, Yellow Flower. In the same year, Hwasa joined the cast of the KBS reality show Hyena on the Keyboard. Hwasa made her solo debut in 2019 with the digital song “Twit,” which she co-wrote and composed.
Hwasa worked with English artist Dua Lipa in March 2020 for a remix of Lipa’s “Physical,” which included Korean lyrics. Hwasa debuted her debut EP, Maria, as well as the lead song of the same name.
On July 11, 2020, the EP debuted at number seven on the Billboard World Albums list and peaked at number eighty-one on the Billboard Top Current Albums Sales chart.

Hwasa’s business stated that she was summoned and examined by police in early September and that the allegations had been upgraded to a criminal inquiry rather than a civil code infraction.
Hwasa’s company stated unequivocally that she and the corporation are abiding by all police and judicial directions.
