Italian football legend, Roberto Baggio robbed at his Italian home and suffered injuries!
Former Italian football player, Roberto Baggio, 57 suffered injuries during an armed robbery at his Altavilla Vicentina home. Five robbers entered his home late at night when he and his family were watching Euro 2024 on Thursday 20 June 2024. Roberto suffered a wound on his forehead in the tussle that ensued and required a visit to the hospital to suture it.

Former Italian football legend, Roberto Baggio, 57 was busy watching Euro 2024 at his house in the small town of Altavilla Vicentina on Thursday 20 June 2024 with his family. On that day, Italy was competing with Spain at the game and he and his family were engrossed in watching it.
Suddenly, five armed robbers entered his home and attacked the family. Roberto tried to protect his family and in the fight that followed, one of the robbers hit him on the head with the butt of his gun. The intruders then bundled the family into a room locking them inside.
Subsequently, they decamped with some cash and valuables, the details and worth of which remain unknown.
Roberto was hospitalized
After the robbery, Roberto had to be taken to a hospital in Arzignano for his injuries that were deep and needed medical attention. He had an open wound on his forehead that required several stitches. His wife, Andreina Fabbi was with him during that time. She accompanied him to the hospital for the needful.
Andreina Fabbi is a homemaker whose life revolves around Roberto, their three kids (Valentina, Leonardo, and Mattia) and art. There is no more information about her past life.
Roberto thanked his well wishers and said:
“Fortunately the violence I suffered only caused a few stitches on my person, bruises and a lot of fear.”
He added:
“Now all that remains is to overcome the fear.”
The relationship and family of Roberto
Roberto was 20 years of age when he met his future wife in 1986. They dated for two years and exchanged wedding vows on 2 July 1989 in a traditional Roman Catholic ceremony. Their married life would complete successful 35 years this year July.
The couple shares three children together: eldest daughter Valentina who was born on 2 December 1990, son Mattia who arrived on 12 May 1994 and second son Leonardo who was born on 3 March 2005.
Valentina is an internet personality who has traveled the world. She also managed her dad’s social media accounts for him and has founded Liberta the Agency. The latter’s website states:
“We create tailor-made creative projects based on the needs of the client.”
“Our main focus is social media, influencer marketing, and events.”
While, Mattia manages the family estate and does some cooking for fun.
Roberto had played for Juventus, AC Milan, and Inter Milan football clubs of his country for 22 years before retiring. Now, the family resides in a renovated country farmhouse in Northern Italy at Altavilla Vicentina. It is around one hour drive from the water city of Venice.
The house is many-storied one with a large garden with braziers for meat cooking. There is also a private gym and Roberto’s agricultural company also functions from there.
